Beautiful park. I got chills when I read the signs. It was a public burial area until the Revolutionary War when they used it to dump bodies of American soldiers in mass graves. They said they estimate there are over 2,000 soldiers buried there. No tombstones or markings. They are simply underfoot of the park. It was sobering.
