after a wild day yesterday. Going into Sunday, the bottom 7 teams in the SEC were only 4-45 combined against the top 7 teams, all of whom will be getting NCAA bids. Then yesterday the bottom 7 went an astonishing 3-1 against the top half, and nearly went 4-0. Alabama stunned #9 Miss St 66-64 on the road, Georgia whipped LSU on the road 73-56, and Florida knocked off #22 Arkansas 83-80 at home. And Vandy nearly beat Tennessee in Knoxville for the second straight year, losing barely 67-63.

So now instead of a 4 way tie this morning (which seemed like a lock before) with Missouri, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama all at 5-9, the standings are:

6-8 Georgia
6-8 Alabama
6-8 Florida
5-9 Missouri

On Thursday we play Auburn at home. Alabama is at TAMU, they will lose. Georgia is at Kentucky, they will lose. Florida gets SC at home, they will lose, badly. So if we beat Auburn at home, there will be a 4 way tie at 6-9 records going into the last game. Too bad those upsets happened yesterday. We could have been going into the last game of the year at 6-9 with the other 3 teams at 5-10.

And, of course, all 4 teams play each other Sunday. Florida is at Georgia, we are at Bama. If we win, and Georgia wins, we finish 8th and get the AQ bit to the WNIT by virtue of our head to head win in Athens over the Dogs. If we win and Florida beats Georgia, we lose the tiebreaker to the Gators by virtue of that stinker of a loss at home to them last week.

Have to win out to make any of this happen though.
