Trump tapped into a sense of American exceptionalism and pride that is tried and true. It had been mocked, degraded and demeaned. But Trump rallied and allowed those who feel this sense of pride to be heard.

Bernie is promoting a radical message that will resonate with a narrow swath of people. But he is already speaking well of Castro. This message will not win middle America and it will alienate moderates in a big way.
