What is hate speech or hate crime?
Is a guy in a MAGA hat who goes to the hospital going to be refused care?
The legal definition from merriam webster includes: "a threat or attempt to inflict offensive physical contact or bodily harm on a person...puts the person in immediate danger of or in apprehension such harm or contact."
So if someone feels apprehension about a patient because of the american flag lapel, the MAGA hat or republican bumper sticker, he can be denied care?
I agree with the physical assault thing. But that is 1 in 7 of the "assault" cases.
