Dr. Paul Hruz, a scientist and endocrinologist at Washington University, gave a talk on the current science on using hormones to stop puberty & or to "transition" people from one sex to another.
A very similar talk in another venue shows how compassionate he is and how focused he is on trying to do what is best for those suffering from gender dysphoria:

Unfortunately, in this case the activists organized a protest at the event and a campaign to harass Washington University and to get Dr. Hruz fired. They had 137 people who were "interested" in going, but the weather was a bit cold in January, of course, and it was probably closer to 25 or so who actually showed up.
Per their facebook protest page they were giving out phone numbers and emails to Washington University officials especially those in the medical department. They claimed to have many allies within Wash U and that they were all applying pressure to get him fired. They also claimed that allies at BJC had started a big social media ad campaign against him and pro-LGBT. "They have our back." was the claim.
They brought bullhorns & a lot of signs and wanted to intimidate those attending. They also harassed the priest and the Church which had allowed him to speak in their parish hall with calls and emails.
I think those that went in were surprised by how gentle and compassionate he was and how much he had everyone's best interests at heart. Some had promised on their facebook protest page https://www.facebook.com/events/511355406153509/permalink/512910602664656 which has since been closed, that they were going to call him out on every false claim he uttered. I thought it was quite telling that there was not a single objection during his entire talk. They exited quietly, and I heard that one of them had actually approached him after the event and asked for an appointment to come and speak to him.
