Actually, Lieu recommended charges be brought against McCabe for lying to the IG. OTOH, she let the Awan family and James Wolfe off with minimal charges after their serious crimes were discovered. In this particular instance, the IG recommended charges were the only ones McCabe is escaping. He has much more criminal jeopardy than this.
