Let's assume for the sake of the argument that the recruiting fan sites are basically accurate in their evaluation and stack ranking of high school players. They're not, but let's grant the assumption.
Look at this in-state class to see the challenge MU faces in building a roster off "sealing the borders":
4 players deep and we're getting into Top 300 territory. Just 3 in the Top 100. Just 6 players in and we're in Top 500 territory and barely inside the Top 100 at his position.
You simply can't build a consistent top half of the SEC East program off recruiting classes built on in-state guys only.
Well over half of every class is going to be comprised of out-of-state players IF a program like MU is going to be a top half of the East type program.
