How the rulebook is actually written. It is true that we do not fit this modern interpretation they are trying to force on us.

By definition, a foul is contact that gives one player an advantage. Yes, there are lots of times that we touch the guy, but that does not mean it is a foul.

Most the contact is actually caused by the offensive player, but poor interpretations of defensive position results in all of those being called fouls on the defender. A LOT should be no calls, some should be offensive fouls. Either would discourage the offensive player from approaching the contact
