My knee jerk way too early SEC predictions...

after the first weekend. Admitting that it is foolhardy to read too much into the opening weekend of the season.
1. Mizzou will finish ahead of: TAMU, Ole Miss, Miss St, Auburn, and Arky. So no worse than 8th in the conference after getting picked for 10th in the coaches preseason poll.
2. Right now we are in the second tier of teams in the SEC along with Kentucky, Georgia, and SC.
3. The top tier is still Alabama, Tennessee, Florida, LSU. But don’t be surprised if Missouri or Kentucky replaces Florida or LSU in the top 4 by the end of the season. Maybe Georgia too but hard to tell until their schedule tightens up a few weeks from now. But Alabama, Florida, and LSU are all diminished after the first weekend.
4. Alabama, despite their overwhelming advantage in pitching, will not just cruise through the SEC and easily win the conference. They are still the favorites to win the SEC and return to the WCWS. But it’s not going to be anywhere as easy as originally thought.
