Keep in mind, an amendment to the Constitution supersedes any conflicting language in, or interpretation of, the Constitution's original language.
Therefore, the House cannot correctly claim it is beyond judicial review of a claim it failed to afford or ensure the accused Due Process rights to which the accused was entitled; even though it be vested with the sole authority to impeach. The 14th Amendment eliminated any whiff of a suggestion that impeachment is beyond judicial review for any reason and all reasons.
