Baton Rouge native, Bob Pettit, led the St. Louis Hawks to an NBA title in1958. He was the NBA’s first MVP. Pettit retired from pro basketball and was a banker in NOLA.
He was an All American at LSU, all SEC three years, and won an SEC title. His was the first jersey in any sport retired at LSU.
