the life and death story that you seem to need to overcome your bias. There are very real environmental disasters that were ignored until they became those stories. There's nothing wrong with being pro-active, although, as I said, I don't know that it has to be alarmist or fraudulent and I don't think they've done their cause any favors with that approach.
