I've seen too many media talking heads as well as sports broadcasters CALLING A GAME FROM ARROWHEAD OR THE SPRINT CENTER refer to being in Kansas. And one thought KCI was in Kansas because of the sign on the airport exit road welcoming people to Missouri.
When you have a bi-state region NOT divided by a major geographic landmark like a river, it's easy to lose the line of demarcation between Missouri and Kansas. In much of Kansas City, it's State Line Road running north/south on the stateline. One side of the street is in Missouri and the other side is in Kansas.
We're flyover country for the east and west coast. We're irrelevant. We sneak in under the radar. We're the nation's best kept secret. And we like it like that.
