Senator Alexander has an interesting statement

(1) House proved Trump did what they allege he did
(2) No more evidence is needed
(3) Trump’s actions were wrong
(4) In his opinion, those wrong actions do not rise to the standard for removal
This means (1) the House did their job and proved their case, (2) the investigation was appropriate because there was wrong-doing, (3) the standards for Inpeachment and Removal are not the same.
This leaves me with the following question, if a President has done wrong (and Alexander acknowledges that - you can look up his statement for exact wording), what is the remedy? The Constitution only provide one - Impeachment followed by Removal. So, why did Senator Alexander (and his GOP colleagues) not move to the sole remedy?
Caveat for completeness purposes, the Constitution (with regard to Impeachment) does not contemplate censure.
