Damn. There were a lot of photo skills it took to capture those images. And no do-overs if you don't get it right.
On film. Slide film, which is/was very unforgiving as to over/under exposure. No feedback on how the exposures were until the film came back from the lab.
So hell yes I hung onto images I took, or ones I used for training.
Tell you what, next time you see frost on a window, go place your hand on it and see if it captures your handprint. The conditions have to be just right or the frost melts and you get nothing but water. Now try to photograph that with a 1:1 macro. At night. Using the only lighting you can get--a flashlight--and holding it in the right position to show the image.
64 ASA film.
And the point was, I'm not scanning these in to a computer to share them with every macabre web site like the modern idiots with camera phones looking for their 15 minutes of fame.
