Here, Ms. Habersham is reporting what she has heard from her sources. To attack her historical credibility in reporting and/or her biases related to her credibility in reporting, in an effort to suggest what she is reporting is not true or accurate, is not an ad hominem.

An ad hominem looks like this:

Person 1: If A equals C, and A equals B, then B must equal C.

Person 2: Since you're a liar and an adulterer, you're wrong.
