Quite the change from Trump saying he will get a fair Senate trial and that he would love for his aides to testify.
On a procedural note, I think Chief Justice Roberts would rule on the privilege assertion and it would not be subject to judicial review. This is a Constitutional Senate trial that isn’t subject to Article III considerations.
