It was a partisan vote in the House, not a single GOP Congressman got on board. Every vote in the Senate has been along party lines so far.
There was never a chance of actually removing Trump from office. This is about campaign promises House members made to impeach him and the fact that the Dem candidates are a complete clusterf*ck.
