Big win for LSU yesterday beating then #11 Kentucky 65-59. They took a huge 45-27 lead into the 4th quarter then held on for the win. LSU is playing really well now, already beat #15 TAMU on the road (although Carter was injured during the game), and gave #9 Miss St all they could handle last week in Starkville, barely losing 64-60. They now have an RPI rank of 25, and are projected as a 6 seed in the ESPN bracketology out today. Our win against them is looking better and better.
And tonight is the big showdown with Miss St @ SC. I doubt there is a single Mizzou fan rooting for the home team tonight.
Seed projections for all SEC teams today:
1 SC
3 Miss St
4 TAMU
5 Kentucky
6 LSU
7 Arky
8 Tennessee
Georgia and Vandy have slipped off the bubble for now and neither is projected among the first 8 teams out.
SEC teams ranked in the top 25 today in the AP poll:
1. SC
9. Miss St
12. Kentucky
15. TAMU
21. Arky
23. Tennessee
SEC RPI ranks as of today:
3 SC
15 Miss St
17 TAMU
19 Kentucky
25 LSU
36 Arky
63 Vandy
68 Alabama
71 Tennessee
83 Georgia
136 Florida
143 Missouri (up from 163 a week ago)
147 Auburn
273 Ole Miss
