Honestly we should try it, like the bachelor for basketball coaches. You get one year to prove excellence or you're fired. We're then just making fans happy because they love to have coaches fired.
Especially for a top 10 program like Mizzou historically we should be demanding supreme excellence and disavow this mediocrity.
Or maybe we should put a whistle in a stone out front of Mizzou arena and he (or she) who is worthy can pull it out and be our new basketball coach.
