The capital police and state police may fall into line, but there have been too many Sheriffs and Police Chiefs in sanctuary counties who have said they will not enforce laws they believe to be unconstitutional. And Sheriffs have the luxury of being elected so if Gov Blackface tries to remove them from office, he will face a backlash.

The other issues the state legislature has on its plate is a vote to cast its electoral votes to whichever Presidential candidate wins the national popular vote. On the other hand, they want to HAVE electoral-like votes from their large population centers decide the Governor's election even if he lost the popular vote in the rural part of the state.

Bloomberg is making sure he gets his money's worth.
