If they are going to do background checks prior to purchase at a dealer they need to have the wrath of the ATF come down on felons or illegals who attempt to make a purchase, or attempt to make a straw purchase.
No limitations on the number of firearms I choose to purchase. VA wants to limit it to 1 per month.
Reciprocity in every state for concealed carry licenses. If a place has a "No Weapons" placard posted, they better have a metal detector and monitored controlled access if they expect me to surrender my firearm prior to entering.
Severe penalties for using a firearm in commission of a crime and weapons felonies can't be dealt away in plea deals. Tired of seeing career criminals getting plea deals so they have some chance of sticking their dick in a baby momma in 7 years or less instead of sitting their ass in prison for 20 years because of a firearms violation.

State reps and senators from the highly populated urban areas, who are largely Democrat cesspools of crime, want to penalize sport shooters and hunters because of highway shootings and drivebys where innocent people are shot. It's like penalizing every driver by taking their cars because some choose to drive drunk.
Virginia wants to shut down indoor and outdoor gun ranges because, oooooo, people shoot guns there and it's scary. They want to shut down organized firearms training and that is bullshìt.
