least nothing was mentioned in the article.
Yet the author of the article put in the first sentence that the criminal was a colored guy.
The media are loathe to put the race of criminals or suspects in articles, unless they can be painted as a victim, i guess.
And no, i am not defending the sentence. I don't know the circumstances to know why it was for 12 years.
So for those of you too stupid to realize what this post is about, it's not about the sentence. It's about the news coverage of the sentence.
