to see where this is going. The shift from college ball to a minor league campus based system ain't gonna happen. Stands will be half empty and programs will be dropped, along with payments and scholies. Teams will spring up with no connection to education, just to give the dislocated players a venue. The sport will survive. College ball is dead as we know it. I wish it were otherwise.
It's not about compensation!!! It's about unrealistic expectations. Crow all you want about the education not being enough compensation. I have several old friends who played for Mizzou and have more to show for their degrees than most who play to get paid.
They learned how to win on the field and in the business world and are retired with what most would call fortunes. Not 100's of millions, just 10's of millions.
ALL BECAUSE OF MIZZOU FOOTBALL AND THEIR RESULTANT EDUCATION.
