The change to the sec has been a net gain, but the geography has displaced a lot of fans. They could watch mizzou play teams that even though they weren't special, they recognized because they were in states right next door. A geographical rivalry with everyone.

Mizzou though even in the big 12 still struggled with attendence when we weren't winning.

When I first came to Mizzou in 2002 there were 20-30,000 in the football stands with me. At hearns the basketball team was good and the fans came out. They didn't come out when quin started failing though.
