We are the only the nation that has it and the only nation that suffers horrific shootings and gun fatalities.
The idea underlying the 2nd amendment was that citizens in the states could organize to oppose over-reach of the feds and to preserve the right of the citizen militia to be armed in such an endeavor. Idiot Assswipes since that time have so perverted that as to stand it on its head.
Result or COST of that is an egregiously violent society littered with the needless deaths of innocents. The trade ain't worth it remotely.
