If that is true then there were never wild fires before man started warming the world right?
Australia is a desert. Wild fires are part of the ecology of deserts. I do not keep up on Australian environmental policies but I suspect that they have the same problem as Southern California. When people move into deserts the first thing they do is stop those fires. Since there are no fires to clear the undergrowth. It eventually builds up until you finally have a huge event like those we have seen recently.
The cause is not global warming but overpopulation in desert areas and interference in natural ecological cycles.
