Times to use the stick. That is what makes global relationships so difficult. Stalin was an ally before he was a threat to the world. It's a complicated business which is why being emotional and reactionary is dangerous. And it leads to the questions I posed above. Are the actions being taken today in line with advancing key strategic interests.
