what the GOP did with Dole and McCain. Both were candidates no one truly rallied around. They were both merely the candidate running against who the GOP didn't like. That rarely works well.

Also, the dems are very fractured given their special interests. Bernie supporters are going to rebel against voting for Lizzie or Joe or Pete. And the same with the other candidates. Blacks are not only dispirited, Trump is actually performing relatively well with them.

The dems have no unifying candidate, and that is a real challenge come the general election no matter how much they hate Trump.
