none had service. we just used them as iPods basically lol. but you could still take pics and videos with them of course.
for example, when we would have "key leader engagements" we would often use cell phones to take pics of the meeting. these would later be incorporated into power points etc
and lots of pics and videos were just run of the mill for soldiers to keep as mementos. obviously you have to be smart enough to not take pics/videos of something prohibited.
