My opinion there are only 3 candidates who could beat Trump.

The first is Joe Biden, but he's so old and decrepit at this point he only looks energetic and coherent if he's compared to Nancy Pelosi. Trump will run circles around "Sleepy Joe".

The second is Elizabeth Warren. But I don't understand how she can escape the whole "Pocahontas" thing and she's so far left she seems unreasonable to many in the middle.

The third, and clear choice if I were doing the picking, is Tulsi Gabbard. She is similar to Trump in that she's not "one of them" - Trump's appeal of upsetting the political apple cart helped him get elected in 2016 - but she's distinct from him (and many of the other dem candidates) in that when she speaks she seems reasonable to the middle (though many of her stated policies are pretty far to the left).

Those 3 are the only ones who can take votes away from the middle - to reiterate - if you compare the entirety of the dem field to hillary clinton - hillary is wayyy further to the right of the political spectrum than any of them.
