A few points...

trade to US has reduced...does some Chinese product likely flow through Vietnam...sure, but no question Chinese production is down.

By the way, US firms have been doing the same thing the other way for years...many US ag products have gotten to China via other countries

This shows, that despite government intervention attempts, capitalism still rules, as smart people figure there way around rules.....see also the gun control laws, drug laws, and immigration laws. The biggest problems (as mentioned in the paper)...government spends more money trying to combat the problem, while companies/people/cartels spend more money to get around the problems.

But hey...Trump will declare victory when he signs part one of the trade deal..and you can be sure all of his minions on here will tell us about it.
