They have repeatedly warned that if they don't impeach him he will be re-elected.

They claim that he is such a danger to the nation and the world that they have to impeach him and remove him from office less than a year before the voters decide who they want as their president... but then they won't pass the impeachment papers on to the Senate for adjudication.

They don't make any more sense than you do.
