Yes, farmers are pleased. However, we worked long and hard and spent mightily through the national soybean checkoff fund to develop the Chinese market. All of that effort and over $1.50/bu. was destroyed within mere days of the start of the tariff war. Corn was hit with a .50/bu. loss. Trump's MFT payments have compensated farmers a bit, but still far below the actual loss in income.
