of course, that isn't what you meant, but you're right by accident. under current law, he's immune from federal civil suits regarding official acts and they very well might rule that he's immune from civil state suits. obviously this isn't an official act. so there's an argument to be made on both sides. which is my point. this isn't settled. of course, it's also a ridiculous case to be sued for defamation for calling someone a liar.
I guess we'll see.
