you are in favor of government doing all they can do (tariffs and other trade barriers) to "protect" our manufacturing? Not sure what you mean by service jobs
China would have mattered much less in this deal as we could get imports from the other countries through TPP.
And we also had better access to some better developed markets and growing markets for new customers.
It also cost us a great deal with Japan, as Canada had a better deal with them vs us. I will give Trump credit that he was able to close many of those advantages...3 years later.
