It was stupid from the get go. Bush did it. It was wrong and stupid. Obama called it the right or good war, that was wrong and stupid. For then 12th time, the correct response to the attacks of 911 was to eviscerate by means of aerial bombings all known Al Qaeda camps at first light on 9/12. And you are done. No Afghan War, no inane and criminal war against Iraq. None of it. Thank you for your attention.

And yes, never under-estimate the American ego in the form of presidents who wouldn't dare be the ones to stand up and say - we live with the losses and pull out of stupid military engagement. Be the president who loses the battle and saves the lives.
