Really DUMB and I mean REALLY DUMB people on this board ... maybe some of the dumbest people on planet earth who knows.
Hire Drinkwitz is a HOME RUN HIRE for multiple reasons.
1). He’s young and when you look around all the HOT named coaches are in their 30’s even the NFL is now looking at younger coaches with new idea’s who can also relate better to players.
2). He’s clearly worked his way up a very successful latter. Who can complain about that which includes never losing a bowl game, and winning a national championship.
3). He’s a attention to detail guy. That matters.
4). He’s one of the HOT NAMES out there... going 12-1 at APP state beating two power 5 teams. How isn’t that a splash???
5). Everywhere this guy goes those teams win. Not giving him the credit but saying he’s been around winning. You learn more from doing something than ever reading about it.
6). He’s an offensive coach this will help with quarterbacks. Sounds like his expertise is developing a quarterback.
7). To get him Mizzou is probably going to pay more for him and his staff. He can bring in a great staff with more money than under Odom.
8). Clearly the guy is going to get at least 4 years to win. This is going to help in recruiting because honestly I think everyone thought Barry was year to year.
9). Recruiting: Being younger is going to help recruiting. Recruiting offensive players is going to be up his alley because he’s an offensive coach. I will bet anything he will flip some guys from Missouri before signing day.
10). Lastly, this is a total fresh start. People keep bringing up 2015, well Odom was here for that so where other coaches. Hiring this guy from a whole other state, is a TOTAL fresh start. He’s going to bring in his own coaches, a new approach no connection to Pinkel or Odom. This is how it should be. Start over.
