If it's true that our very smart AD suggested we hire Blake Anderson lets take the deep dive here.
The positives: He has a lot of experience coaching his teams against SEC teams. Lets take a look at the results.
Georgia LOSS 55-0
Alabama LOSS 57-7
Auburn LOSS 51-14
Tennessee LOSS 34-19
Missouri LOSS 27-20
Other Power 5 Teams they've played...
Nebraska LOSS 46-36
Miami LOSS 41-20
USC LOSS 55-6
So basically he's never beaten a power 5 team as a head coach! EVER! And it looks like he's getting his ass pounded against even some teams that aren't very good like USC, Miami, Nebraska, Tennessee, and well Mizzou barely won. None of those teams have been tearing up anything and this guy couldn't sneak out one win.
Overall Record: 46-30 (he's not even dominating the lower level conference foes 36-12. This isn't like he's dominating so much that he needs to move up a level. Not even close.
Bowl Game Record: 1-4 and none of those bowls did they get paired against a power 5 team.
Power 5 Coaching Experience: ONE YEAR at North Carolina as an OC. So this guy virtually NO Power 5 experience.
So we FIRE Barry for this guy? Seriously???
You should have just kept Barry in the house.
Look if you can't make a splash with Lane Kiffin, or Boise States head coach, or Memphis's guy or one of the other hot names... then just do this please.
GO HIRE LSU, Alabama, Georgia, Auburn coordinator. They would know the recruiting lay of the land. They can sell their success as a bigger program to Missouri recruits, and you could give fans HOPE for a turnaround.
