out to Jeff Long and Les Miles and offer them a package deal to leave KU for MU.
That would solve both our AD and FB HC problem. As an added bonus, it would f*ck over KU.
Les Miles would check every box for MU. An experienced, accomplished head coach with a big name that would excite the fan base and attract some high-caliber recruits.
Miles is only making $2.7 mil/year at KU (less than Sterk was paying Odom, which gives you an idea of how incompetent Sterk is). Offer Miles an instant million dollar raise ($3.7 mil/year).
Jeff Long's daughter is currently an MU student, which gives him a strong connection to the university. Offer him a substantial raise as well.
Worst-case scenario is they say "no" and parlay it into a huge raise at KU, chewing further into their AD budget.
It's a no-lose proposition for our de facto AD, Jon Sundvold, to explore.
