In 2014, their new stadium opened. That's a very big deal in FCS so recruiting can jump up.

Estimates:
They were already middle of the pack - 5th out of 10 team OVC.
2014 5th
2015 4th
2016 2nd (Healy hired Dec 4 2018. Team record 0-11, 0-8 OVC)
2017 1st (Team record 8-4, 7-1)
2018 1st (Team record 5-6, 3-5)
Healy leaves Austin Peay

SEMO recruits at only about 6-8 out of the 10 team OVC. Yet we split as OVC champions with Austin Peay's best team probably in school history this year. We lost by 2 at their place. The previous year SEMO should have won the OVC as well, but still got a playoff invite anyhow where we knocked off Stony Brook in the 1st round.

So Austin Peay already had talent and were already trending up. Healy kicked it up even more.
