There is a clause i believe in the charter that says if any member nation is attacked, all other nations must defend that nation.

"All other nations" i think means the united states. Only.

I am not willing to defend with american lives the people of bulgaria if they are attacked.

And what if a member nation like oh, turkey just to pick one at random, is an aggressor nation?

What obligations do the other member nations have if the nation that turkey attacks counterattacks.

Time to go. We can pick and choose which nations we are willing to help. I would prefer not to be bound by a charter signed in 1949.
