Obama HAD been and would be again very popular. Obama also won with majority support. Trump has not one minute of one day enjoyed majority popular support. He is the only president going back to FDR who never enjoyed majority support once.
GOP was successful in freaking folks out about this alleged GOVT TAKE-OVER of Health Care and that worked to spook enough folks to be good for the GOP that midterm. This is not a mid-term. Majority want Trump gone. We'll see if they get their wish.
