We have talented freshmen, but it was the upperclassmen that won this game.
Go right down the line (Chavis, Amber Smith, Roundtree, Schucts). These players along with Elle Brown, and Haley Troup were the difference makers.
I’m not worried about Hayley and Aijha. This was a learning experience for them. They need to be better on defense. Hayley needs to learn not to reach. Aijha has to work harder including staying in front of the person she’s guarding.
Western Illinois has a good program. They sure seem to be well coached. Their players played with confidence, purpose, and grit.
Elle has to get more minutes. She played a lot today, and was a great all around player.
