believed no one had any intention of winning and wasting away money and treasure and men's lives on a penny ante opponent that could have been wiped off the face of the earth in about 6 months if they really wanted to win. And he just hated Richard Nixon period for anything and everything. I was little when he went to China but I think dad would have rather him drop a few hundred atom bombs on China than speak to Mao.
