I read the article, then I read the thread including Tigrrr!'s post about sidewalk vendors (a term that is not used in the OP). I had a hard time believing that people were being that brash in a shoplifting ring, hence I asked him for information (i.e. a link) on where it was happening.
Since I've never heard the term "fencer" used in the context of shoplifting rings, you can see why I wouldn't have found the OP to satisfy my inquiry. Now I know that term.
So why should I bow out of this conversation?
There are topics on this Board that I run circles around people, but I don't tell them to bow out... I want them to stay in and learn something. But then those people usually lash out and leave, instead of saying "I didn't know that".
