You can't help yourself from demonizing your political opponents. The author is talking about people like you when he refers to the progressive resistance. In that regard you are exemplifying his theory. We all better hope there is no such overreaction on the part of the middle and right, because it will be the end of the unified nation under a representative republic form of government.
