Fire BARRY NOW - Here is why

1) Mizzou is on a bye week
2) Traditionally new coaches are hired from bowl bound teams. How many times have we seen that, where the coach starts putting his staff together and agrees to coach a team thru the bowl. In other words most big hires are done before the new coaches bowl games.
3) Get ahead of the curve. Let the entire football coaching community know NOW there is an opening in the SEC. Mizzou might be the only SEC coaching opening this year get that out now before other P5 teams start firing their coaches.
4) Recruiting: We can identify and hire a coach prior to any bowl games. This is still a hot time for recruiting. If we fire Barry after he loses to Arkansas we're going to lose a ton of the current recruits and leave little to no time to find a new coach then give that coach time to recruit players. Fire Barry now to SAVE recruiting!
5) Lame Duck: Its fine to be a lame duck in the NFL, but not in college because you recruit players. If you know deep down in your gut this is it... having a lame duck coach benefits NO ONE especially the current coaches who might want to look for new jobs.
6) Dooley: He was a head coach in the SEC. If you're even THINKING of him as a possible hire put him in charge now during the bye week. It only makes sense. It's another thing if the guy you put at the head of this thing doesn't have a clue and makes it worse. Dooley would be doing his best for his own future.
7) Donors: Give the donors MORE TIME to figure out how much money we can scrape together to hire an SEC level coach.
8) Odom: Clearly they like this guy, he's a Missouri son right? This is best for his mental health, his family, to simply be removed from this job now. He's about to embark on a massive losing streak - Georgia - Florida - Tennessee and who knows maybe Arkansas. Save this guy from more bashing, trashing and worse. He probably knows he's done, the players know it, his coaches know it and recruits know it. DO NOT MAKE HIM SUFFER!
9) Players: Maybe they take it personal and play their hearts out beat Tennessee and Arkansas salvage something out of this season. We don't want 6 game losing streak to end the season that doesn't help the next coach.
10) Sterk: He simply needs to hire his own coach. It really can't be said any more simple. Every AD needs to hire their own coach unless you have Saben. Sterk needs to show what he's made of, he needs to put his footprint on Missouri sports. This is where he does it!
