to have a belief that we shouldn't have troops in the desert. It's a simple non-aggression/keep our boys at home position and that's not hard to defend.
I don't disagree with you that we should have thought about our exit strategy more clearly, rather than just ripping the Band-Aid off, but I fundamentally disagree that he's not entitled to that position just because he doesn't know the ins and outs of every tribe in Syria, Turkey, Kurd, Iraqi.
And for that matter, terrorist groups are defined/redefined daily. The US govt plays both hands at the table.
