It is a proceeding meant to pester the Trump Admin with perpetual investigation under color of Congress's oversight authority. Additionally, the secrecy allows the Dem majority to release detrimental leaks to compliant allied media venues, while they keep House Pubs in the dark. It isn't impeachment, it is impeachment-ite or impeachment theater. It is all for show. There will be no official vote for an inquiry and there will be no vote on articles of impeachment. The last thing Pelosi and Dem leadership wants is to surrender control of the narrative to Senate Pubs.
